Culture week
With this slogan we continue a very young, but ambitious project - LSMU Culture Week.
This year's Culture Week will stand out in its way of operating - all activities will be carried out remotely. Many cultural activities were suspended or postponed this spring. We miss them so much, especially at this time, don’t we?
This stage provided more insights into untapped opportunities on how to unite the LSMU community, strengthen interrelationships, and foster creativity. We want to be closer to you and give more cultural spice to your daily life!
Therefore, we invite you to actively join the activities using not only Facebook, but also Teams and other programs.
And why Culture of resource conservation?
We want to live better and better, we tend to consume without thinking about the consequences. We forget the impact our behavior can have on natural resources. Resource conservation is first and foremost about sustainable use, saving them and by that reducing impact on the environment.
The most common arguments for our self-justification are that we live at an extremely fast pace of life and that we have too little information about other ways of using resources. So, this week we will provide information how YOU, by making small changes to your daily home and work environment, can make a significant contribution to saving resources.

A Lithuanian doctor, priest and a war refugee Alexander Ferdinand Bendoraitis (1919 - 1998) resettles to the Amazonian jungle in the 1960’s and becomes a local hero: he establishes a boat-clinic network, the first jungle radio, starts the pacification of local indigenous tribes and builds the most modern hospital in Amazonia. However, as he gets involved in a brutal crime, countless fake narratives that he had created around himself begin to resurface.
