Sports centre
The Sports Centre of the Sports Institute of the LSMU is a member of the Lithuanian Students' Sports Association, Lithuanian Student Basketball League, Kaunas basketball amateurs B and C leagues, Lithuanian Aerobics Federation, Lithuanian General Gymnastics Association and Lithuanian Table Tennis Association. Based on the regulations and timelines of these organisations, sports teams of the University honourably represent their Alma Mater in student games, cup competitions and international SELL (Finland-Estonia-Latvia-Lithuania) student games, championships of these federations, associations, cup competitions, festivals and other events.

For LSMU representation teams, additional sports facilities are leased (Kaunas Vilija swimming pool, athletics hall of the Lithuanian Sports University, covered football arena hall of the National Football Academy, etc.).
Ongoing projects
Sports centre
The Sports Centre develops joint projects with the Lithuanian Physical Culture and Sports Department, the Lithuanian Students Sports Association, the Lithuanian Association “Sports for All”, and the Lithuanian Association “Gymnastics for All”. Targeted occupational, prevention and education programmes are implemented on the basis of the partnership leading to the successful socialisation of young people, involvement of their cultural maturity and self-expression. Every year, we represent our Alma Mater in LAAE championships (track and field, swimming, tennis, table tennis, sports aerobics, badminton, chess, wrestling, weightlifting, judo, and fencing), basketball players participate in the Lithuanian student basketball league and B and C leagues of Kaunas basketball fans. In addition, we participate in the traditional festival of the Lithuanian Association “Sports for All” in Palanga, the Lithuanian student Olympic Festival, the Lithuanian gymnast games organised by the Lithuanian Association “Gymnastics for All” and cooperate with other universities. We represent the country in international projects of the Lithuanian Association “Gymnastics for all”.
