Invites to participate in a biomedical study

A group of volunteers is being selected at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences to participate in a biomedical study, during which the association of functional beverages with active ingredients of plant origin with human physiological indicators will be assessed. Antioxidants are often insufficient in commonly used foods and drinking water, so it is very important to evaluate how functional beverages enriched with polyphenolic compounds extracted from fruits and berries affect different biochemical, visual, cognitive (mental) and immunological parameters of human blood.

You may be eligible to participate in the study if you meet the following criteria: age - not less than 20 years and not more than 45 years old, you do not have the following chronic diseases: cardiovascular disease, diabetes, skin diseases (eczema), epilepsy.

If you agree to take part in the study, you will need to drink a 0.5 litre bottle of the test drink per day (mineral water enriched with different berry extracts) for 2 months.

During this biomedical study, you will have biochemical blood tests and a questionnaire to assess your overall well-being.

The study is scheduled to begin on 14th March. To participate in this study, please register via email: dalia.luksiene@lsmuni.lt or telephone on weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM on +370 37 302885 or +370 62071549 until 10th March.
