On November 12, 2020, LSMU took part at the global international study fair organised by Educations.com which is a global online meeting point headquartered in Stockholm, where students can search for information about studies in 2,000+ schools located in over 210 countries offering 70,000+ programs.

Yet, again due to the current circumstances all around the world, the fair was transformed into a virtual one with chat, call and video options. The fair took place on the newest platform: students were grouped based on the world regions and time zones. The event began at 7:00 and ended at 21:00, thus covering Asia, Europe, Africa and finally North and South America. Along the International Relations and Study Center staff, student ambassadors assisted during the fair. They were great assets at the fair, as the prospective students felt more at ease communicating with peers about their future professions. We appreciate the ambassadors’ sincere input at the fair.

LSMU booth welcomed over 450 visitors from a very broad geography, including Indonesia, Philippines, Norway, Germany, UK, India, UAE, Mexico, Pakistan, Cape Verde, Madagascar, Kenya, and many more. A total of 4500 students attended the fair, and representatives of over 35 universities around the globe met with the attendees in various modes offered by the platform. IRSC study program coordinators were inspired by involved questions from the attendees and will continue further correspondence with them.

At the beginning of the pandemic, virtual fairs were a rather new and unexplored area, whereas now, webinars, conferences, and fairs are getting increasingly popular and convenient, thus reducing the boundaries, and welcoming all and everyone to participate from the comfort of their homes.
