LSMU studies presented in London

During the visit to London on 16-21 March, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) international programme coordinators Laima Dobilienė and Milda Mankelevičienė promoted studies at the study fair and organised an entrance examination.

Institutions from thirteen countries presented their study programmes in the study fair in London. The study possibilities in Lithuania were presented by eight institutions together with Education Exchanges Support Foundation. Every year more and more UK students are leaving for studies abroad. In 2018 even 34 025 students decided to study in other countries (Source: Unesco).

It is pleasing that an LSMU Medical Faculty graduate Kamal Ragupathy agreed to take part in the study fair. Currently Kamal Ragupathy is working at Forestside Medical Practice as a general practitioner registrar (ST3).

Medicine, Odontology and Nursing study programmes received the greatest interest in the study fair. The University representatives gave all the interested exhaustive information about the University, study programmes and students' leisure activities, while the graduate kindly shared his memories about the studies and life in Lithuania with the young people and their parents. During the study fair, contacts with the UK agency “Global Studies” were established. The agency consults young people interested in studies abroad.

Seven applicants took part in the examination which was organized by the LSMU in London. 5 of them successfully passed and were invited to study in the LSMU Medicine and Nursing programmes.
