LSMU studies presented in Sweden

January is the first month of LSMU entrance exams for those who wish to study health sciences and join our community. After a successful visit to Tel-Aviv, International Relations and Study Center staff is continuing their task – this time at Stockholm, Sweden.

During four days (25 – 28 of January) Aušra Surantienė and Eglė Vizbaraitė attended two exhibitions and organized two LSMU entrance exams.

The first exhibition was organized by “Eduplanet” that attracted many young people interested in LSMU study programmes. LSMU was one of the most popular universities there because of two special guests who joined us: LSMU Alumni Ahmad El Hage and current student Mustafe Adan.

Ahmed graduated KMU (Kaunas University of Medicine) in 2006 and is working as a General Practitioner in Sweden. A long time had passed from his studies but we heard only good memories of his studies and life at LSMU and Kaunas. He still speaks Lithuanians language and has a lot of Lithuanian friends and patients that don’t let him forget our language.

Mustafe Adan is 3rd year Medicine student and a member of ICOSA. During his leisure time – he prepares educational videos, vlogs about specific topics related to Medicine. He is really glad about his choice to study at LSMU and wanted to share it with everyone interested in LSMU at the exhibition. Mustafe made a huge influence and also decided to help us during another exhibition too.

A lot of applicants, students and parents came to “MD study International” conference and exhibition. Each university made a short presentation about their institution and later were able to consult everyone in person. LSMU was the only university that offers the biggest variety of health sciences study programmes in English comparing with other universities: University of Zagreb, Humanitas University, Charles University and Palacký University Olomouc.

Both exhibitions were beneficial and prospect students expressed their wishes to study Medicine, Odontology and Veterinary Medicine.

Reviewing LSMU entrance exams during this visit, 23 participants were registered and 12 of them got offers to study Medicine (8), Odontology (3) and Veterinary Medicine (1) at LSMU. Majority of prospect students are working in healthcare sector or studying nursing at this moment and dream to become doctors. Also their relatives and friends are studying at LSMU that made an influence to choose Alma Mater.

Congratulations for new accepted students and we wish good luck for those who are preparing for LSMU entrance exams!
