More Swedes to come for degree studies to LSMU
More than five hundred of prospective students visited study fair “Brunch @ Studin” in Gothenburg where 30 educational institutions from different countries (mostly UK, USA) were presenting their study programs. LSMU was the only institution among them offering studies in different fields of medicine and veterinary sciences. Many of attenders were particularly interested to study at LSMU, mostly choosing programs in Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine fields. LSMU table was of great interest.
One alumni, doctor Saman Rezaei who graduated LSMU in 2015 and currently is working as dentist at public clinic in Gothenburg joined university team and greatly contributed with live experience from his studies and student life in Lithuania. Vice Dean of International Relation and Study Center Alvidas Šarlauskas and two international programme coordinators Simona Černiauskienė and Milda Mankelevičienė had a number of interviews with prospective students, their friends and sometimes even family members. Most of Swedes considers Lithuania as a good destination for degree studies and values LSMU because of well-organized studies and rich experience in education of international students.
During the stay in Gothenburg the first entrance examination was organized as well. All prospective Swedish students applied for the Medicine study programme and a few of them were invited to study at the LSMU. The presentation about LSMU and its study programmes, international students’ support facilities was given for the audience after an entrance examination. The LSMU representatives answered questions about the academic and practical students’ life at the University. All candidates were really motivated and they are planning to visit the University during the Open Days, which are organized by the International Relations and Study Centre.
