Nominal Scholarship Competition

The competition is open to the students of all faculties of the Medical Academy; students enrolled on the Veterinary Medicine degree programme at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Academy, and students of the Faculty of Animal Science; the President of the Republic of Lithuania Kazys Grinius Scholarship is awarded to the students enrolled on the degree programmes in the fields of life sciences, health sciences, veterinary sciences, agriculture sciences and sports

Students of the first and second cycles and students of integrated studies, starting with the third semester of their studies, wishing to participate in the Nominal Scholarship Competition must submit the following documents to the Student Council of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (address: A. Mickevičiaus g. 9, Kaunas or the post box No. 53, which is at the 0 floor, near the Career Centre), tel. (8-37) 327214, e-mail: info@lsmusa.lt) until 15 April 2019, 5 p.m.:

  1. A request to participate in the nominal scholarship competition (a request addressed to the Rector);
  2. A certificate, indicating the grade point average (GPA), approved by the Dean or a person appointed by the Dean;
  3. A free-form curriculum vitae;
  4. Documents supporting active participation in student activity and/or the need for support (students who have lost their parents (adoptive parents) or guardians, students with disabled parents (adoptive parents) or guardians, or students from large families);
  5. Other documents supporting the achievements of a student (copies).

NOTE:

  1. The grade point average (GPA) must be not lower than 8.
  2. The scholarship is not awarded to students who have already been awarded a scholarship from other funds in year 2018/2019.

The meeting of the Nominal Scholarship Commission will take place in the Rectorate meeting room, located in the central building (A. Mickevičiaus g. 9) of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, on 18 April 2019, 1 p.m.
Participation of applicants in the meeting of the Commission is compulsory.

 

The following scholarships will be awarded:

  1. Lithuanian Science Support Dr. Juozas and Birutė Skrinskai Fund (for students of the Faculty of Medicine);
  2. Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis Scholarship (for students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Public Health);
  3. Veterinary Pharmacy Association Scholarship (for a student of the Veterinary Medicine study programme at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,);
  4. ‘Magnum Veterinarija’ Scholarship (for a student of the Veterinary Medicine study programme at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,).

Candidates will be selected for these nominal scholarships for year 2019/2020 (the final decision will be taken by the founders of the scholarships):

  1. President of the Republic of Lithuania Kazys Grinius Scholarship (for students enrolled on the degree programmes in the fields of life sciences, health sciences, veterinary sciences, agriculture sciences and sports). Note: together with the request, documents containing information on the candidate’s study results of the last two semesters, evaluation of candidate’s studies, scientific and/or artistic activities, student’s participation in competitions, expeditions, and scientific practice projects must be submitted.
  2. Birutė Petrikas Scholarship (for students enrolled on bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in the nursing field at the Faculty of Nursing, except for last-year students). Note: together with the request, an applicant must submit a completed scholarship founder’s form* with the requested information and annexes
    * Ask for a scholarship founder’s form at the Dean’s office.
  3. Juozas Brundza Scholarship (for students of the Veterinary Medicine study programme). Note: together with the request, an applicant must submit a completed scholarship founder’s form* with the requested information and annexes.

  4. Kaunas District Municipality Mayor Valerijus Makūnas Scholarship (for students of the Veterinary Medicine study programme and students of the Faculty of Animal Science who are residents of Kaunas district (shall submit a document confirming the place of residence)).
