A Visit of Delegation from Kazakhstan to LSMU
The delegation from the Kazakh Ministry of Health and Social Development represented by Vice Minister Alexei Tsoy visited the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) on Wednesday, 8 April.
The guests were welcomed in the LSMU library by LSMU Rector Prof. Remigijus Žaliūnas; LSMU chancellor, Senate’s chairman, Prof. Vilius Grabauskas; Dean of LSMU Centre of International Relations and Studies Prof. Žilvinas Padaiga; Dean of the LSMU Faculty of Nursing Prof. Jūratė Macijauskienė; Director of Kaunas Clinics for Public Health, Science and Studies Prof. Lina Jaruševičienė, Director of Kaunas Clinics for Management and Expansion Dr. Daiva Pentiokinienė; and manager of the Service of Information Technologies Giedrius Leimonas.
The honourable members of the delegation from Kazakhstan expressed their interest in cooperation possibilities. Mr. Alexei Tsoy, the Vice Minister of the Kazakh Ministry of Health and Social Development; Ms. Svetlana Shubina, Director of the Department of Information Development; Mr. Talgat Nugumanov, Managing Director of Republican Centre of Electronic Health Protection, and Mr. Edil Muchamedin, the analyst of electronic management of the Department of Architecture of ‘National Information Technologies’ Ltd., showed an interest in the cooperation possibilities with LSMU; structure of work, activity and expansion at Kaunas Clinics as a university hospital, and health care system of the Republic of Lithuania in general.
LSMU Rector Prof. R. Žaliūnas; LSMU chancellor, Senate’s chairman Prof. V. Grabauskas; and Dean of LSMU International Relations and Study Centre Prof. Ž. Padaiga told the guests about LSMU, its today, history and reconstruction. Prof. J. Macijauskienė, the Dean of the LSMU Faculty of Nursing, talked about the studies of nurses.
Prof. L. Jaruševičienė, the Director for Public Health, Science and Studies, Dr. D. Pentiokinienė, Director for Management and Expansion, and G. Leimonas, manager of the Service of Information Technologies, told the guests about Kaunas Clinics and answered their questions. The guests were especially interested in information technologies and projects of information technologies or projects related to them, which are under implementation in Kaunas Clinics.
Prof. V. Grabauskas and Prof. Ž. Padaiga told about the health protection system of the Republic of Lithuania and its development in 25 years of the Lithuanian independence.
The team of the International Relations and Study Centre organized the meetings of the delegation in the Ministry of Health, National Health Insurance Fund, and Vilnius Central Outpatient Clinic.
