Great interest in studies at LSMU in Stockholm

2015-02-23

Žaneta Dičkutė and Jevgenij Razgulin, the international programme coordinators of LSMU International Relations and Studies Centre, visited Stockholm on 28 January-1 February 2015 where they organized the entrance examination for those who want to study at LSMU. They also represented the University at the International Study Fair.

Students from Sweden make up a large part of the international students at LSMU. This year was not an exception as well. The entrance examination was taken by 13 candidates but only 10 were accepted after examination and an individual interview. All of them chose to study Medicine.

At the International Fair, which was organized by the agency ‘Språkpunkten’, the representatives of LSMU got a lot of attention from potential students and their parents. There were few visitors on the Fair who have already been familiarized with the information regarding studies available in English on the LSMU website and who had very concrete questions. They were asking about the study structure, how the study modules are organized, what are the conditions and costs of living in Kaunas. The visitors were also interested in social life at the University and leisure time opportunities in Kaunas. The coordinators of the International Relations and Study Centre presented the programmes of the University and the requirements for the entrance. The possibility to meet the representatives from the University, personal contact and face-to-face interaction during the fair and after it helps attract and motivate potential students to choose studies at LSMU.
