The representatives met with 2 groups of the prospective students from Germany, Brazil, Israel, United Kingdom, Norway and Sweden. In total, 37 prospective students met with the LSMU representatives in two days. Professor Algimantas Tamelis, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, presented the University and degree programmes at LSMU; Jevgenij Razgulin, LSMU psychologist for the international students, talked about international studies and support programmes for the international students at LSMU; and Constantin Heinicke, who is the second-year veterinary student at LSMU and the participant of the LSMU Ambassador’s programme, shared the information about student life and his experience of living in Kaunas and Lithuania.

The prospective students were very interested in the study programmes at LSMU and were asking details of the admission procedure. Moreover, they showed a special interest in safety issues in Kaunas and Lithuania and what help they could get if they experienced any difficulties in studies. All the questions were answered by the representatives of the University. The concrete questions and activity during the presentations showed a real interest of young people in studies at LSMU, and such meetings with prospective students help them make more informed choices on their future studies.
