LSMU Rector Declares His Compassion for Victims in Nice
We accustomed ourselves to live in times of fear that is threatening our societies. Never ending nightmare when human life is cheap and has no value. The feelings that hurt most, the emotions that sting most, are those that are absurd. Getting up in the morning and not being sure we`ll be back home in the evening. My heart bleeds.
I am buried in pain and sorrow for all the innocent victims of "Le Quatorze Juillet" feast. Celebration and death before was incompatible combination, but now it is....
Words are never adequate in moments like these. I will say though that my heart goes out to all the victims. My deepest condolences at this sad time.
