International programme coordinator Rūta Antanaitienė and psychologist for the international students Jevgenij Razgulin from the LSMU International Relations and Study Centre visited London during 16-20 March 2017. They promoted LSMU study programmes during the Higher Education Fair, organized the entrance examination and visited the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Kingdom.

Studies at LSMU were presented at the Higher Education Fair ‘The Student World’. More than 40 educational institutions from different countries took part in the event. During the first day of the Fair, the LSMU representatives had meetings with career advisers, provided detailed information about the University and answered all their questions. Later on, career advisors are supposed to provide this information to the students of UK high schools. The LSMU representatives also attended the seminars that introduced the UK education market from a variety of viewpoints. The seminars provided more information about the expectations of prospective students and their parents and how to meet these expectations. Approximately one thousand prospective students visited the Fair and the LSMU booth was of great interest.

The entrance examination session was organized for prospective students whose applications were submitted for the academic year 2016/2017. The applicants were successful during the examination and they were invited to study Odontology at LSMU. The LSMU presentation was delivered after the examination and prospective students together with their parents were happy to get comprehensive information about the structure of University, study programmes and students’ life.

The LSMU Representatives visited the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the United Kingdom. Ambassador Ms. Asta Skaisgirytė and Embassy Minister Counsellor Ms. Natalija Bacevičienė gave a warm welcome to the University’s representatives. Activities of the International Relations and Study Centre, study problems of current and prospective students as well as new events at LSMU were discussed during the meeting. The Ambassador expressed her support for the international study programmes at LSMU and promised to share the information about the LSMU during her diplomatic meetings along the United Kingdom.
