Public Lecture ‘Global Mental Health and Projects in India’ by Dr. Geetha Jayaram

On 22 October psychiatrist Dr. Geetha Jayaram, who also is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at c75d53b3dcdc283322ae515e421a6909.jpg (thumb, 73x100)the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality in the United States, will give the lecture ‘Global Mental Health and Projects in India’ at 4 p.m. in auditorium 302 of the LSMU Library and Information Centre (Eivenių g. 6, Kaunas). Dr. Jayaram has dedicated her life to helping people in her native India and the United States overcome mental disorders such as severe depression, bipolar disorder, panic attacks, etc. She is the founder of the clinic in one Indian region, which provides mental health services to indigent women. Dr. Jayaram has received 14 awards in the United States and India for her academic and practical activities. In 2015 the Rotary Foundation Trustees have chosen Dr. Jayaram to recognize with the Rotary Foundation Global Alumni Service to Humanity Award.
