LSMU is a unique university with a modular approach, which makes the studying process very interesting and efficient. University has very nice and cozy facilities, which will motivate you to study even harder =). Professors are friendly and try their best to answer the questions, to make the lessons interesting. One more huge advantage of LSMU is that the teaching manner helps and even makes students feel what it is like to interact with patients and work in hospital almost from the very beginning of the studies. LSMU became home for so many students from all over the world and I hope that one day it will be your Alma mater as well =). |

Living in the beautiful town of Kaunas helped me getting to know the historical Lithuanian culture and also people here are really kind and friendly. Studying at the LSMU has been a joyful experience and is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The teachers and other staff are all really friendly and helpful. The infrastructure and facilities are of a high standard and the university provides a vast number of resources, which are easily accessible. Students are taught in small study groups, which enables us to be more involved within the learning process. I have always known that I want to become a veterinarian but to move abroad was a big decision for me. Today I am so happy I decided to move across the Baltic Sea to fulfil my dreams and I am still discovering advantages of studying abroad. The biggest advantages of the LSMU are that we can study in smaller groups and always have a chance to consult the professors. Studying at the LSMU will definitely leave a mark in my life. I had been learning veterinary medicine for 2 years back home until I decided to travel and transfer to a university where I would feel comfortable economically, educationally and emotionally. The LSMU was my best option: the tuition fee was very reasonable, they gave me the opportunity to exempt a lot of my previously achieved credits. In addition, the diploma is recognized in the EU and most of the international students there were very welcoming. Today, I like being here in the veterinary medicine program. The professors are so helpful and experts in their domain, the material is very clear and we have access to a lot of books and articles related to our field. We do have practice in clinics and farms, which is very important along with the theoretical courses. Social life is important as well, everyone knows everyone, we go out and enjoy our time in addition to a lot of activities happening during the academic year. Thank you, LSMU! |

In veterinary studies there are not so many people – we have small groups and know each other, which makes it very personal. I really like Kaunas as a city, it has very nice bars and restaurants. | As pre-medical students we are busy with searching and choosing the best place for us. Every person imagines his/her best place in their own way. The best place for me is a place which could be felt like home, where I could obtain maximum knowledge and skills. The place where I would feel the international community of students in a European country, get an easy access to all the necessary material, have programs that allow you to develop, offer different leisure activities, like swimming, basketball, football and provide a possibility to join other organized groups so that you could chill out beyond the university borders. Therefore, choosing the LSMU was the right decision for me. |

The University and the city like many other things in life are at balance. The cold winter is made better by the memories of that gone golden autumn, the long (sometimes never ending) lectures are made bearable by the smell of that lasagne from the canteen you will go to later, or quiet early bus journeys to classes that are made more entertaining by the amazing bunch of people you meet in Kaunas. |
